I have studied both integrative and pluralistic practice:

Integrative Counselling:

Adapting the theoretical basis of how to work with clients according to their presentation. This process allows for flexibility in finding the most suitable approach in service of a client’s needs.

Pluralistic Practice:

Incorporates integrative ideas and takes them one step further. It proposes that many different methods can be helpful to clients. A central idea in pluralism is: if we want to know what is most likely to help someone, we should talk to them about it. This collaborative approach allows for clients to become actively involved in the decision making process about how therapy works for them.

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and have been working with clients in one-to-one therapy since April 2024, completing over 220 client hours. I am an accredited member of the NCPS National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.

My client work includes experience with organisations such as Network Counselling, Curo, and Choose Therapy.

A Bit About Me

I am 48 years old and I live near the city of Bath. Before finding counselling my work history was varied. It included recruitment, cabin crew and working with children. Having tried many different things I have truly found my vocation in counselling. Being of service to others is a definite life purpose for me. I find it an absolute privilege to bear witness to my client’s inner lives and be trusted with things they may never have told anyone else. My clients have taught me a lot and I never fail to appreciate the humanity within all of us.

In April 2026 I will return to studying to learn more about counselling clients with neurodivergence.
